The Royal Delft Proud Mary View of Delft is a ceramic figurine that combines two icons of Dutch culture. The skirt features Johannes Vermeer's famous painting — View of Delft — screen-printed in Royal Delft's characteristic blue and white. The name Proud Mary refers to Mary II, wife of William III and one of the greatest collectors of Delft Blue in the seventeenth century. Royal Delft developed the collection from the desire to give this heritage a contemporary form. The View of Delft is one of three new Marys in the transfer series and consists of four separate parts — skirt, body, collar, and head — which you can combine with other Proud Mary figurines.
