Or perhaps you see a completely different story. The physical discomfort of the pelican with its stuffed neck is a recurring theme in Redmer's work; it's a source of his humor. For Redmer, the greatest challenge was to merge his alienating world with the world of Heinen Delft Blue. I used Delft blue elements from the Heinen collection as a starting point for the illustrations and built my world around them. A world in which all the main characters live. They shine on their own, but they also work well together.
