The Emile Henry fruit bowl features a clever design, is made of natural materials—ceramic and cork—and is ideal for storing fresh produce. The cork lid doubles as a fruit bowl, creating an elegant presentation, while the ceramic base offers ample space for keeping onions, beets, or potatoes fresh and out of sight. Under the lid, the lack of light slows germination, and the three small holes provide just the right amount of ventilation. The combination of the insulating properties of the cork and ceramic creates conditions similar to those of a cellar. Even the most delicate fruit can be stored in the cork lid. Resting on the cork surface reduces the risk of spoilage. The cork also helps keep fruit flies at bay and absorbs the moisture the fruit can release. The ceramic base is stain-resistant, odor-free, and dishwasher-safe.
